NTTA Chisholm Trail Parkway Sections 2C & 2B

Alpha leads a CMT team that has received all TxDOT and NTTA Independent Assurance (IA) certifications for Quality Control (QC) for both field and laboratory personnel.  Alpha performs all QC functions required for Sections 2C and 2B of the Chisholm Trail Parkway (CTP). Work is currently underway after an April 2010 start to field work.

Alpha is also the geotechnical engineer of record for the UPRR Davidson Yard track realignment, assessment of the existing Trinity River rail bridge, retaining wall studies and improvements associated with the CTP crossing of the UPRR Davidson Yard.

Alpha Role: Owner Project Acceptance, under contract to NTTA.

Description of Work: Full QC construction materials testing per contract including structural steel services by Alpha CWI as needed, plant inspection and specialized testing.

Cost Savings: Alpha has adjusted assignments of our Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) partners to meet project and DBE participation goals. Alpha's DBE partner moved to the primary technician role, with Alpha staff on an as needed basis, and the Alpha Construction Site Manager (CSM) onsite full time. Changes reflect, and result in, efficiency. In addition, work is performed at Alpha's Fort Worth laboratory facility to reduce costs. Staff and facility have been NTTA IA certified in an efficient manner, realizing savings to the NTTA.
